The event is a Valentine’s Ball organised by Heather Emery … each year she organises the ball and each year Heather and her team manage to make it more awesome than the year before.

I photographed Marty’s wedding last year … knowing he’s a huge pompy fan I pulled a favour
for him to get his version of a glam mag photo.

Each year it still amazes me how hard these guys party … and when people are partying that hard it’s pretty difficult not to join in.

Well done to SF Ball for raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust and a massive thank you for hiring us for another year.

A big thank you to Dave for his help with the Funky Photo Booth and to Antony from Lightbox Studios for shooting the weekend with me.

As ever, it was fancy dress and this year’s theme was quite open ended and titled … “The 80′s”. Some of the guests cut it a bit fine on the theme … but they all went the extra mile and their efforts made the party an absolute blast.

Here’s my observations though …

* According to Wikipedia the tele tubbies didn’t launch until 1997
* Fawlty Towers’ Manuel didn’t speak Spanish with a French accent (Vin was excellent none the less … and what passion he has for Kareoke’ing “Sweet Child of Mine”)
* Rachel’s excuse for dressing as a saucy school girl because she was at school in the 80′s was lame … but if looking way hotter than Britney Spears in ‘that’ video was the aim she would win hands down
* Jo and her buddy looked pretty darn good as Santa’s helpers … but I’m sure she told me that she wore her outfit as jim-jams during December
* Derek looked fab but the booth photos seemed to make him look like Miss Jones off Rising Damp
* Chris the DJ almost won the competiton hands down dressed as an 80′s DJ

… but the winner is this pic … The Terminator even had red contact lens things in!

Last night I was at the De Vere Grand Harbour and Tandberg TV had a rather Royal guest in attendance that I couldn’t resist catching a snap with.

Today, Sunday, is my last wedding to photograph for 2008 … and with fireworks scheduled just before the first dance I’m hoping for some awesome images.
