Virtual Tour Southampton: Grand Cafe

Virtual Tour Southampton: Grand Cafe is a Bar, Bistro & Restaurant in Southampton near the highly popular Oxford Street. It’s set in the gorgeous South Western House over two floors.

Grand Cafe hired us to produce a virtual tour of their venue to compliment their website. The tour has been designed to give new customers a real flavour as to what the venue has to offer as a bar, restaurant or as a venue for weddings and other functions.

Grand Cafe

South Western House is a Grade II listed building and dates back to the 1870’s. At that time it was known as South Western Hotel and served the passengers using the neighbouring railway terminal.

In the early 20th Century and in line with many cruise liners being based in Southampton, the hotel was used by many of the first class passengers. This has made South Western House a significant part of the Titanic Tour around the city.

To further add to the history of South Western House. dignatories such as Winston Churchill, Dwight Eisenhower along with Queen Elizabeth and the Queen’s Mother have visited the venue.

In recent years the property has been converted and the upper floors are now a selection of over 90-luxury apartments and penthouses.

The Grand Cafe restaurant offers a wide choice on it’s menu for lunch and dinner. The venue is also the perfect setting for Afternoon Tea. For non-diners there is regular entertainment on offer such as live cabaret music, Sporting Lunches and not forgetting Club4.

With it’s own Civil Ceremony license, the Grand Cafe makes for an ideal venue for both wedding ceremonies and receptions.

The large open space of what was once the Wedgewood Ballroom and also Club4 located downstairs with its own bar and dancefloor make Grand Cafe an ideal venue for other functions and get togethers. See the Grand Cafe virtual tour southampton.

Michelmersh Barn, Romsey

Virtual Tours Romsey: Over the last weekend we were hired by Transform to gain some pictures for their portfolio. Transform are a Hampshire based company specialising in venue transformation and event theming. Simply take a look at their Facebook business page and you’ll notice they cover events much further afield than Hampshire.

Amongst the commercial photography stills we created for Transform we put together a small virtual tour of the main wedding room.

Virtual Tours Romsey of Michelmersh Barn

Transform had been hired by a client to help make a dark timber barn lighter, brighter and more appealing for a wedding day. They began by draping lights around the venue from the high timber beamed ceilings. They then complimented the lights withh long drapes and a beautiful flower mobile hanging in the wedding breakfast room.

Michelmersh Barn is based just outside of Romsey. Michelmersh itself is a typically quaint English village. It has a scattering of beautiful traditional thatched cottages around the village. The barn itself is is an 8-bay timber framed barn. It dates back to the early 18th Century. It is Grade II listed and is maintained and managed by a trust made up of local parishioners.

However, for me, the best fact about Michelmersh Barn, is that it was where Worzel Gummidge was filmed.

Hotel Photographer Wiltshire

Hotel Photographer Wiltshire

We recently completed interior photography for Hilton Hotel Swindon. The hotel required images to use within their marketing material and website pages to help promote their new restaurant and bar. Also, with some of the bedrooms at the hotel being recently refurbished, they too were added to the shot list.

Hilton Hotels have extremely high standards and very precise guides to take into account when photographing their venues. This ensures both quality and consistency for the marketing material within the company on a worldwide level.

Feel free to get in touch for a quote on Hotel Photography. We’re based in Hampshire but have found that the quality of our work is attracting clients from further afield and we’re happy to travel.

Stagecoach bosses puts residents in Waterlooville first
  • Stagecoach South invests around £1.5m in the Waterlooville and Havant area
  • Fleet of 11 brand-new, Wi-Fi enabled buses set to hit the road
  • Bosses pledges to put residents first as they invite them to ‘VIP’ day on March 9

The bosses of one of the South’s biggest bus companies are putting residents of the Waterlooville area first, following an investment of some £1.5m in a new fleet and improved frequency.

Stagecoach South is this month (February) launching an improved Route 39, which now runs every 10 minutes between Wecock Farm and Havant via Waterlooville, Crookhorn, South Downs College,  Asda and Leigh Park.

To celebrate the launch Stagecoach South’s Portsmouth Operations Manager, Bob Jackson, and Managing Director,  Andrew Dyer, are inviting those living along the route to a very special launch party on Saturday, March 9.

On that day between 10.30am and 2.30pm Stagecoach will create a VIP (Very Important Passenger) bus stop in the Waterlooville Precinct.  Those who visit the bus stop, complete with its own red carpet, will get the chance to experience a section of route 39 on one of the brand new buses in VIP style for free. The VIP bus, decorated with a giant bow tie in true red carpet style, will run between Waterlooville and Wecock Farm and feature, games, food and drink.

Bob Jackson said the idea behind the day was to give residents a chance to experience the new buses. He added: “We have invested a considerable sum in this new fleet of 11 Wi-Fi enabled buses and can’t wait for residents along route 39 to experience them. Those who perhaps haven’t used public transport for some time will be surprised at how advanced these vehicles are and how quick and easy it is to take the bus.”

Stagecoach South is running a number of other initiatives to encourage local people to try the more regular route 39. They include:

•  Ticket giveaways throughout the day at the ‘VIP bus stop’ and ASDA Waterlooville

•  Waterlooville Megarider weekly tickets, which Stagecoach were first to introduce in this area, available on the bus at a reduced rate of £10 until the end of April.

Andrew Dyer added: “The route really is for the local people, which is what inspired us to call them our ‘Very Important Passengers’. I hope that they will find the service even more convenient and continue to help us shape what we offer in the future.”
